ONCE-IN-A- LIFETIME OPPORTUNITIES
BE IN THE FRONT ROW OF THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS
11
U.S. Presidents have visited campus in the last 60 years
At the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP), there are unparalleled opportunities for you to be in the front row of the democratic process.
Year-round, the institute welcomes guests including presidential candidates, political pundits, renowned scientists, authors, and journalists. Every four years, you'll watch and participate in the First-in-the-Nation Presidential Primary debates hosted on campus where students intern as couriers, guides, and media assistants.
ANSELMIAN GUESTS
It's the kind of thing that happens regularly: presidential candidates stop by the NHIOP, greeting students (and smiling for selfies) along the way. You'll meet reporters, campaign strategists, or a U.S. Senator while getting a coffee at the café.

It doesn't matter whether you're a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or independent voter.
And it makes no difference if you're a politics, nursing, or physics major. At the NHIOP, people from across the political spectrum come together to discuss and debate the issues of the day. Here, ideas are challenged, ideologies compete, and the democratic process is alive and well.
